Drivers' Champion
Sebastian Vettel→Constructors' Champion
Red Bull→Sebastian Vettel secured the Drivers' Championship, driving for Red Bull Racing, in a season comprising 19 Grands Prix. Red Bull Racing also claimed the Constructors' Championship, amassing 596 points and 13 race victories, all achieved by Vettel. The season featured five different race winners: Vettel (13), Fernando Alonso (2), Nico Rosberg (2), Kimi Räikkönen (1), and Lewis Hamilton (1).
The title battle began competitively, with Räikkönen, Alonso, and Vettel all winning within the opening five rounds. After five races, Vettel led Räikkönen by just four points. However, from round six onwards, Vettel began to extend his lead, reaching a 21-point margin after Monaco and a 36-point gap by round seven. The gap continued to widen throughout the season, with Vettel leading Alonso by 60 points after round 13 and ultimately finishing 155 points ahead in the final standings.
Vettel's campaign was marked by dominance, including a sequence of consecutive victories from the Belgian Grand Prix (round 11) through to the season finale in Brazil (round 19). He achieved 16 podiums and nine pole positions. The season saw Red Bull Racing maintain a consistent lead in the Constructors' standings from round two onwards.
The 2013 season was the final year of the V8 engine era, preceding major regulation changes. Vettel's 13 wins set a high benchmark for single-season victories, and his points margin reflected one of the most commanding performances in Formula 1 history.
